Setlistto
Terms of Service
Last updated May 31, 2026
Agreement to these terms
Setlistto is self-hosted software that syncs song feeds to Spotify playlists. These terms describe the responsibilities that come with running or using a Setlistto instance.
If you deploy Setlistto for a band, organization, or other group, you are responsible for making sure you have authority to operate the instance and configure the connected services.
The software
Setlistto reads song feeds, currently BandHelper JSON feeds, and uses Spotify to create, find, update, and maintain playlists based on instance settings. It may sync one playlist for a full feed or separate playlists based on selected tags.
Setlistto depends on third-party services, including Spotify and feed providers such as BandHelper. Those services are not controlled by Setlistto, and changes, outages, limits, or account actions by those services may affect syncing.
Instance operator responsibilities
The operator of a Setlistto instance is responsible for hosting, deployment, updates, backups, restore testing, database configuration, secret management, HTTPS, access control, and Spotify Developer app setup.
Playlist changes
Setlistto is designed to change Spotify playlists. Depending on settings and feed contents, it may create playlists, add tracks, remove tracks, update playlist mappings, record missing tracks, and mark playlists as missing.
Review settings before syncing. Do not use Setlistto as the only record of an important setlist, playlist, or song collection.
Licensing and distribution
Setlistto is proprietary self-hosted software. The official Docker image is publicly downloadable, and paid services cover managed installation, setup guidance, priority support, troubleshooting, and upgrade help.
The core runtime does not require a central Setlistto account or billing-service connection to operate normal sync features after deployment. Support expiration or cancellation may affect future support services, but not the ability to keep running a self-hosted instance.
Privacy
Setlistto's handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. For self-hosted deployments, the instance operator controls the deployment environment, storage, access, logs, and backups.
Third-party services and trademarks
Spotify, BandHelper, hosting providers, and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Setlistto is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Spotify or BandHelper.
Contact
For questions about a specific Setlistto instance, contact the operator of that instance. For questions about the Setlistto project, contact Pat Dryburgh.
